Rain, rain! Come to stay! Come on back another day!

There was a full inch in the gauge when I checked it after I got home! I’m tickled pink!

I was up before the alarm went off but I got sidetracked and ended up with just enough time to do my BodyFlex.

100% Raw Food

13 ozzies OJ
40 ozzies banana/mango/spinach smoothie
32 ozzies banana/romaine/red leaf smoothie
Roma tomatoes and baby seedless cucumber
Lots of scuppernongs (the people weren’t there today and I only have enough for tomorrow)
2.5 cups salsa
Romaine leaves with ::guacamole:: (tempting fate)

The rain started when I went to the post office and bank, of course, and I didn’t have an umbrella. It would have been hard to carry that tray of mail and juggle an umbrella, anyway. It was a nice, gentle rain. We need days and days of it.

Thankfully, it rained off and on all day. There was no way I could walk. We need the rain worse than I needed the exercise.

I asked about the fiasco at the high school and the estimated water loss is up to 300,000 gallons. Not only did they turn on all the faucets, they taped the handles on the commodes so they were running constantly. The husband of one of the girls said the perpetrators should be put in the juvenile prison outside of town. It hasn’t made the news. I don’t understand. Maybe the Powers That Be are trying to keep it quiet. The kids were texting back and forth on their phones and someone said there was discussion online, too. It’s possible they don’t know yet who was involved. Strange situation.

It was busy busy all day. I did get to my friend’s room a couple of times. She willingly ate two bananas I took to her. The food didn’t look too inviting but I don’t eat hamburgers and fries. Doesn’t seem like food a sick person should eat, anyway. I took some extra smoothie but she didn’t want it, either.

When I took the food scraps out this evening, it was still drizzling. According to WeatherBug, we are in for it the rest of the week. I hope it’s right.

That guacamole sure tasted good. It was just mashed avo with garlic and sea salt. So far, I’m okay. I’ll report in tomorrow if it goes South.

My sister had cataract surgery this morning. I haven’t heard from her but I trust no news is good news. She was going to have general anesthetic since it was such a difficult surgery the last time. I’m anxious to know how it went.

It’s still early but I’m going to call it a day. Good night!
