Not enough to get a drop in the rain gauge but the day was overcast so the sun wasn’t drying things out even more, at least.
I was up after 6 which made me not get to exercising until 6:40. I did my BodyFlex, period.
100% Raw Food
14 ozzies OJ
28 ozzies Thai banana/banana/romaine (the rest of my organic greens) smoothie
Lots of scuppernongs
3 large bananas
Roma tomatoes, cucumber, sweet pepper (it was misty outside so I ate in the break room)
3 quarts salad (commercial romaine/red leaf/Vidalia onion/cucumber/Roma tomatoes dressed with lime juice and EVOO dressing)
I did three laps around the buildings.
I called the place where my friend had been staying and found out she’d been in her own apartment since last night. I mentioned I was going by there after work and was made to promise to report her if she seemed to be having any problems.
The people with the fruit stand were gone when I got to town yesterday so I drove over during work. I got enough scuppernongs to last me until the first of next week. Guess that will be the only thing (besides bananas) that I take from home tomorrow.
I’m not going to look back since it’s beginning to get toward 9:30. I don’t remember if I mentioned that I’ll be on my way to my annual conference tomorrow. It takes place every October. Guess this will be my third to last one. It’s something I’ll miss but not enough to keep working well into my late 60s. I looked up some organic markets in the area today. I hadn’t done that the last couple of years and just made do with what I could take from home and find at Wal*Mart. I don’t have that much to take this year so I’ve decided I’ll shop. I called one place and asked about organic produce. From the answer I got, I figure it’s more like one of those places that sells “natural foods” in boxes, bottles, cans, and bags. I asked where a good place was that sold produce and I’ve been directed to a co-op. I googled it and came up with some fairly simple directions. I found another more commercialized establishment, too. I’ll see if I can find it. It seems to be slightly off the beaten path.
I stopped by my friend’s place and found her sitting on the bedroom floor. She’d been sorting through things. She’s determined to get organized and simplify. I wish her luck. I’d stopped and gotten her some salad greens and discovered she’d had the same idea. I gave her a citrus juicer and a waffle iron I have no need for any more. After she picked herself up, we went to the living room and visited for well over an hour. I let her know I’ll be gone the rest of the week.
It’s time to feed Twinkle and get to bed. I have a long drive ahead of me tomorrow. Good night!
