Now, if I can stay off the salt…(and I didn’t today).

It rained off and on all night last night. Good sleeping weather. I don’t think it ever rained hard but the more gentle rain sinks in better. Down in the valley, there was a little over half an inch since midnight last night.

16 ozzies OJ blended with a pint of strawberries
7 ozzies OJ by itself

Half a small watermelon
A young coconut (I put about half the meat in the freezer)
Almost 48 ozzies banana/mango/romaine smoothie (really good)

A huge salad (it completely filled up a three quart mixing bowl) of romaine, cucumber, red onion (nice and mild), tomato, basil, parsley, dressed with cashew dressing. The basil and parsley plus the basil I put in the dressing were harvested from my very own plants. I’ve been using some Delfino cilantro, too.
Eggplant “bacon” that seems to get better with age.

I got to church with time to spare but I sat in the car long enough to learn that Ranger Bill saved the day again. A 63 year old woman listening to that must be laughable but I got hooked on it when my daughter was little and I still am. So sue me.

It wasn’t raining when I left the house but it started up in earnest while we were in church. I’m thankful it’s not as dry as it was but we’re still at a deficit.

It’s been a lazy day and I have sat with Twinkle on my lap most of the time. I even had a fire going. It was 68 in the house when I got home and damp. The temp wouldn’t have been bad had it been dry (perish the thought!).

I’ve been posting on the Raw Food Lifestyle too long tonight. I should have done that today instead of doing nothing. Kind of nice, though, to veg out.

Tomorrow is the pastor’s graduation. There’s a party at his house late in the afternoon. Since I’m not going to the graduation (it’s ‘way far away) I plan to make a salad and go to the party. Just to explain, the pastor isn’t college age. He’s been in the military and decided after he was discharged he would go back to school. The usual procedure is to go to the Seminary in Michigan after graduation but maybe…I’d hate for them to leave.

Here it is, almost 11:30. I need to post this and amble on to bed. Good night!

A fire and a cat in the lap sound very relaxing. You deserve it.

I don’t need a fire tonight. It’s 80 degrees in the house but I still have a cat on my lap.
