Here comes Twinkle.

She isn’t jumping on my lap for a change. That’s unusual. She’ll knead my thighs until she thinks they’re soft enough and then she’ll lie down until I have to get up.

I was out of bed in time to get in about 40 minutes of exercise up to and including a 70 second pushup.

Food:

Breakfast
27 ozzies grapefruit juice
36 ozzies banana/blueberry/spinach smoothie (GOOD!)

Lunch (out on the patio)
Large (I forgot to look to see how much) banana/pear/romaine/red leaf lettuce smoothie

Supper
A young coconut (I put probably half of the meat in the freezer)
Half a small watermelon
2 persimmons
A huge salad with mango/tomato dressing
A couple bites of jackfruit

I called a friend this morning and she was telling me about a book she needs to get. It’s Sugar Busters. I’d never heard of it and, from what she told me, I probably wouldn’t agree with its premise concerning fruit. Of course, I don’t have the problem it’s addressing, either. I don’t remember exactly what condition her doctor is trying to treat. She was asking me about what I eat and why.

The weather was nice this morning. I was able to get out for a 15 minute walk. I went to rescue someone who was having trouble with some hospital accounts and didn’t have a chance to walk this afternoon.

One of the registrars made it up to the nursery north of town and got me some plants. Basil, parsley, and Delfino cilantro. I’d never heard of that. It doesn’t taste the same as regular cilantro. It’ll be a new experience. I have the plants in the flat in the bathtub for tonight. They needed water and I didn’t want to have to do anything too strenuous. They’ll have to keep until I can give them a more permanent home.

The former pastor called this evening saying he was trying to e-mail me and it was getting rejected. During the course of the conversation, he asked if I were still on my raw food and I told him yes. I could have added, “Of course!” We were talking about retiring and he said he’s past retirement age but he is continuing to pastor. I let him know that when the time came, that would be it for me and I’d have time to take care of my forum and blog. He couldn’t understand the need for such since eating raw food is just that–eating raw food. I’ll be the first to admit that it should be that simple but it isn’t. It should be done with the right raw foods, the right proportions, in the right order. It could sound complicated but it isn’t, once a few principles are learned. I don’t know if I convinced him. That’s not my job, anyway. He was surprised that I’m 63. He thought I was still in my 50’s. I like people who can’t see well.

I need to get to bed. It’s past 10:30.

Gotta be the only explanation for it. I’m the same age as his wife and he knew that at one time. Being a man, though…
