I’m leaving a mess in the kitchen tonight but I didn’t turn off my light until 1 something this morning. It wasn’t quite 1:15, best as I can remember.
I didn’t get up extremely early but earlier than I would have if it hadn’t been for the business meeting tonight. I did all of my exercises.
17 ozzies OJ
8 ozzies strawberries
40 ozzies banana/mango/spinach smoothie with a sprinkle of Cajun spice (salt free)
I left for my shopping venture shortly after that and took five bananas with me. I ate three of them between stops.
Half a small watermelon
A young coconut (just about perfect)
Fruit at the pre-business meeting meal (oranges slices, grapes, cantaloupe, strawberries)
Medium salad of romaine, cucumber, red onion, grape tomatoes, half an avocado, dressed with :gasp!: EVOO, lime juice, agave nectar, sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder.
More fruit chips
I had a cheat day, today, too. Might as well come right out and say it. ‘Way too much fat and not enough fruit and greens.
I got some mixed fruit chips at the Asian market because they have jackfruit in them. They are delicious and I have to make myself quit eating them. I opened them when I was leaving ALDI and that was a bad idea. Oh, I found some cilantro plants at the organic market and got two. Anyway, I ate far too many of the chips. They aren’t really chips. They are freeze dried and very crunchy. So I guess they could be chips. But not like potato chips.
Since I was able to get a pound box of spinach at the organic market, I didn’t stop by Wal*Mart or the other supermarket. That shaved some time off.
I’d sailed right by the turnoff to the cemetery this morning so I went by this afternoon. The arrangement is gone off the grave and it looked very bare. I’ll have to get things together and remedy it. I don’t know if the wind blew it off or if someone intentionally took it off. It was well anchored with spikes so I don’t see how the wind could have done it. It’s been pretty strong lately but there were flowers on the other graves. It’s no big loss but I was going to use the foundation for another arrangement.
A misty rain had been falling but it changed into snow when I got on top of the mountain. It snowed for a couple of hours and then the sun came out.
I got home mid-afternoon for a change. After I got things put away, I busied myself and started two different kinds of kim chee, veggie and mung bean. The Asian market had Chinese eggplant so I got several and I have my version of eggplant “bacon” in the dehydrator. If it’s any good, I’ll post the recipe if you can call it that.
I made my salad and sailed out for the business meeting. The meal was supposed to be at 5 CDT but I got there at almost 6 and they hadn’t started eating yet. I thought they were through and went ahead and filled a plate with fruit. I was shocked when they called for the blessing!
My friend had an empty chair beside her so I claimed it. Two of the ladies sat across from me and one of them said she and her husband had checked out my blog last night. They hadn’t had time to go to the forum. The other one is the person who put two and two together yesterday. I told her she’s going to have to learn to use the computer so she can get online and access my blog and forum. They are both interested in raw food. I don’t know if the first one is interested in eating raw but the other one definitely is.
I hadn’t finished my salad when the meeting started but I wasn’t going to stop. My friend was amazed I ate the whole thing. I told her I usually have the bowl full and it was only about 2/3 this evening.
There was quite a bit of discussion about the church building. The pastor has a lead on some property but he doesn’t know if it will be available to us yet. We can hope and pray…
The meeting didn’t last terribly long and I made it home before 9. It’s going on 11 now. It’s time to call it a day. I still can’t say I’m tired but I’m sleepy, for sure. If I didn’t have to get up early in the morning, I’d clean up the kitchen but it can wait.
