Five down and two to go. And I’m so thankful it’s Sabbath!
It has been quite a day. I started it out by getting up too late to do much in the way of exercising. I did a few moves and one one-minute pushup but that was it.
Here’s my food as I posted it on the forum:
24 ozzies grapefruit juice
36 ozzies banana/romaine smoothie (no water added)
One beautiful Bartlett pear
32 ozzies banana/mango/spinach smoothie
A quart Frederic’s gazpacho with two pickling cucumbers, diced, and lots of grape tomatoes
A bowl full of romaine (the rest of package from this morning–I think it’s 12 ozzies) with a blended mango for dressing.
A note about ozzies for people who haven’t read my blog from the beginning:
When I was a little girl, I thought that lb. was pronounced “lub”. Then, years later, one of the Peanuts characters said that what confused her were libs and ozzies. Hence…
I got out and did three laps around the buildings and now it’s time for true confessions. As I was going around for the last time, I felt like I needed to go in and use the bathroom. However, I decided I would make it, at least, to the back entrance of the hospital, go in there, take care of my needs, and go on back to the office. The fact that I’d had so many blueberries yesterday morning coupled with the fact that I’d suffered a burst stitch when my daughter was born, the urge was more than I could handle and I had an embarrassment. I went into the bathroom as planned but it was more of a salvage job than anything else. I had to throw away my underwear. I washed out my slacks as best I could, called the switchboard, and asked my trusty operator for the day to meet me at the front door with my purse and keys. I explained that I was going to have to go home and change. She did and I did. I don’t think anyone saw me. When I got home, I chucked my slacks and some other light-colored clothes into the washer, put on some other slacks, and went back to work after I bought gas.
Which is another thing. The man at the gas station asked me if my ears were burning. I questioned why they should be and he said he and his wife had been talking about me not half an hour before and they had been wondering if everything was okay. It’s nice to be missed.
When I got back, I fixed my lunch smoothie and pear. I went outside to eat but didn’t stay my full 30 minutes since I’d had almost an hour away.
It got very busy this afternoon and I wasn’t able to walk.
I stopped on the way back to the house and picked up my box of tomatoes. The oranges hadn’t been delivered. I’ve been out for almost a week now. I’ve lived and done well.
Well, this entry will probably make my sisters wish I hadn’t been so frank but this is all about raw food and what it does to my body, right?
And now I’m going to bed. I offered to go get my friend at the nursing home in the morning for church and the fellowship meal so I’ll have to leave considerably earlier than usual. Good night and happy Sabbath!
