I was already in bed asleep at this time last night.

It’s 9:42 by my computer clock. When I turned off my light, it wasn’t even close to 9:30 last night. I’ve been working my way through all the unread posts on the forum and that’s taken quite awhile, especially since I replied to a lot of them.

I got up and had a leisurely morning. So leisurely that I, once again, had a mono-meal of a quart of OJ before I went to church.

One of the fellows who went to school with my daughter was there with his wife and their two children. We had a nice visit.

After church was over, I got involved in a conversation about diet with one of the members. He has to recycle some weight to try to get his blood pressure down. His wife came out and told him they were going to put the food away so he’d better get inside and eat. He doesn’t see how he would be able to eat raw since he is a truck driver. I’ve put out an SOS on the forum. There are lots of good ideas there so maybe we’ll be able to help him out.

Visitation at the funeral home wasn’t supposed to be until 1 but I went over a little before that. I wasn’t thrown out so I talked to some of the family members and watched the video. The lady had picked out everything–her dress, casket, etc.–and it was all beautiful. She looked very pretty lying there. I didn’t stay long since I was starting to get pretty hungry.

I didn’t go to see my friend in the nursing home today. She’d sent word that she has the flu. I have her Clementines so maybe I’ll take them over tomorrow and ask for someone to take them to her if she’s too sick to have a visitor.

I had three mangos that needed to be used so I made a smoothie with them, three bananas, and lots of spinach. There was another mango that was ready and it got used with three tomatoes, onion, and cilantro for my first batch of Fred’s Mom’s Salad of the year. It was good but it’s better in the summer. That mango was the best I’ve had all winter. I may have to go get some more. I got two because I was leery of getting more bad ones. I ate a persimmon and a white sapote. I also had some mung bean kim chee. Plus three tomatoes with Tajin. The last thing on the menu was a large salad of romaine, red leaf, tomato, cucumber, red onion, avocado, dressed with avocado blended with lime juice. Oh, I forgot. I had 16 ozzies of OJ after that. No YC today.

Twinkle had a can of cat food today. She has two cans left after this. When I opened it, she about went into orbit. She does love it but it kind of lays her out for awhile.

I’ve been e-mailing and going back and forth to the forum. I need to stop this and go on to bed before it gets any later. Good night!

    Hi Tommie!
What is Tajin! Is it a spice?

Yes. It’s chili powder with dehydrated lime juice and salt. Not optimal at all but it’s warming in this cold weather. You can look it up on http://tajin.com

Where’d you get the persimmon and sapote this time of year?

From http://cherimoya.com awhile back. They both keep well. The sapote might still be available but the persimmon season is over until fall. 🙁
