We’ll see how long I can last, typing with a sore finger. I cut the end of it the other day and it’s right where I keep hitting it and it gapes open. I’ve been putting tea tree oil on it which usually helps but this is in such a vulnerable spot…
I didn’t hurry when I got up yesterday. It was Sabbath and a more relaxed morning than most. Breakfast was OJ. I drank most of my four banana/one cup blueberries/lots of romaine smoothie before I left the house. I had to add quite a bit of water to it because it “set up” into pudding. That would have been okay except for the fact that I didn’t have time to sit down and eat it with a spoon.
I’d bought a bag of slaw–the first I can ever remember buying. All it was, was cabbage and carrots. I added chopped red onion and made a half recipe of cashew mayo except I didn’t use cashews. I used walnuts. Plus I used the juice of a whole lemon. It was a little on the salty side since I had salted the slaw and put salt in the mayo, too. It was tasty and I gave some to each of two of the ladies who seemed to like it a lot. I took some tomatoes, too. They were impressed that I’d found such good ones this time of year. One thing a raw foodist does is find out where the good produce is.
My friend had told me earlier in the day that she was still pretty worn out from her big evening so I let her be. I came on home after I ate my lunch of four (maybe five) bananas and three Clementines.
I had some kim chee, a young coconut, and two tomatoes with Tajin. Then I made a big salad with romaine, tomato, red onion, and some herb mix. I didn’t put any kind of dressing on it. It was very good. Then I ate the rest of the slaw. There was just enough for one serving.
It was late when I got to bed (how unusual 🙁 ). I remember looking at the clock and it was almost midnight. I did sleep well, though.
I stayed in bed until around 7, as I remember. I got up and weighed and I was up by a pound. The salt! I measured and had gained half an inch somewhere. I don’t remember where and it really doesn’t matter. It’ll come and go. I don’t have any expectations about getting to a certain size and staying there. I am sure of one thing–I won’t ever be fat again.
I did all of my exercises and was able to hold a pushup for a whole minute. It was tough but I made it!
Breakfast was OJ and a four banana/large pear/spinach smoothie. I got dressed and set out to do my grocery shopping.
I stopped by Mother’s grave and was standing there in my size 6 Levi’s. All of a sudden, I was overcome with disappointment that she didn’t live long enough to see me un-obese. I got all teary-eyed. There wasn’t time to stand there and grieve, though, so I went on.
I hit the Asian market first, then the organic market. From there, I went to the supermarket close by, and on to ALDI. I ended up with so much I needed that I didn’t go to Wally World or the other supermarket on the way home. I had four bananas here and there.
My friend had called and said she wanted to know what those tangerine things were she ate. She’d left a message and I didn’t call her back. I got some Clementines and took her a little more than half the box. She kept trying to pay me for them but I told her they’d be $92.50. I didn’t stay long since I had frozen durian in the car.
I got home and stowed most of the stuff and ate some dragon fruit, a white sapote, and some kim chee. I fixed 16 ozzies of OJ, using five oranges I bought at ALDI. It was okay but the ones I get locally are better. My daughter called and we talked for most of 45 minutes. After we hung up, I had a coconut (mostly mature–I didn’t eat much of the meat), and three tomatoes with Tajin. I topped all of it off with a small avocado.

And now I am going to bed. It’s 10:31 and past my bedtime. Good night!
