It’s a little after 8 and I’m falling over, sleepy!

I know I haven’t had enough to eat today but I can’t stay up much longer. It was midnight when I finally turned the light off last night.

I made it up in time to get in my BodyFlex and LSEs.

Breakfast was OJ mixed with the peelings from the persimmons I pudding-ed yesterday. It was good! I took a smoothie of four bananas, a mango, and chard to work. It looked almost chocolate-y but it didn’t taste that way. I’m still not wild about chard in a smoothie.

It was foggy foggy when I got into the valley but it soon cleared off. It never really warmed up a whole lot, though.

I decided to wait until tomorrow to go get my groceries. One prime reason was because I keep failing to get the sticker for my license plate and the one that’s on there is expired. It wouldn’t be pushed in my usual stomping grounds but I don’t want to get in more public territory until I get a new one. The courthouse was closed all day today or I’d already have it.

My snack was three Clementines that the staff gave me yesterday. Here’s a picture of the gift:

Christmas Gift

That’s my mother and father in the picture on the left and my faithful L’equip blender in the background on the right. I think that bowl is so neat! They really hit the jackpot this time!

Lunch was a four banana/about half a pear (I had to throw a whole one away and that hurt)/spinach smoothie.

The hospital Christmas dinner was at 2 pm. I took the veggies that have been recycled three times now and the Mock Salmon Pate. I ate some of both plus some sugar snap peas that someone had on a commercial veggie platter. They were good and sweet. One other person had some of the pate and liked it but most people wanted the cooked food and Dead Beasts.

When I got home, I did in a coconut. It was small and very young. I had some kim chee and three persimmons. I was going to have another green smoothie but I never got around to it. The tomatoes aren’t quite ripe enough so they are still in the box.

My forum has picked up several members since the teleconference. I hope they are posters and not lurkers. I need people who will be active.

It’s 8:30 and I’m going to hang this up and get ready for bed.

It will be a good night when I get to sleep!

    I just want to say that I have been reading your site for a few months now and you are an inspiration. I had my company holiday party yesterday and thought of you when I went through the line and filled my dish with only raw veggies. I passed on the ham, turkey, cooked potatoes, and pies. Everyone thought I was nuts, but I thought my food was better looking and tasting than theirs!
    I also copied you at breakfast time, I had a banana/oj/spinach smoothie.
    I have to admit though I am not 100% raw. For dinner I had a bowl of hot vegetable soup, to which I added a tablespoon of raw, virgin, organic coconut oil. I try to have 3 spoons a day, and it is so much easier to add it to hot food.

    I’m so glad it helps you, Cathy! Someone at the Dept. Head party said, “You’re missing out on all the good stuff!” I thought, “I’m the only one here WITH the good stuff!” That was you, too, huh?

    I vary a little from you on my breakfast. I drink my OJ first and then have my smoothie.

    The more raw you can eat, the better. I’m curious, though. Why the coconut oil?

    I forget where I first learned of the health benefits of raw coconut oil, maybe from mercola.com, but I researched it and tried it, and have had wonderful results. More energy, less appetite (I lost 30 pounds in 6 months), no more colds or headaches, etc. It is antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial. They say it helps with thyroid problems too!
    I use it on my skin every day too. I had a funny little growth on my face, kind of like a skin tag, and after putting the oil on it every day for a couple of weeks it disappeared.
    There are many different brands, Allisa Cohen has a good one on her website.

    I used to use it, too, as you’d use oil in cooking but I still gained weight. I only use it on my skin now. I couldn’t tell any difference in my thyroid or my weight until I went raw. I’ve put coconut oil (organic cold pressed from coconutoil-online.com) in one smoothie. It didn’t make it taste better and I figured I didn’t need the fat. Young coconut is very low in fat–did you know that? Chris posted the nutritional breakdown in a comment a few weeks ago.
