Winter isn’t even here yet but it’s cold!

I know that it isn’t nearly as cold as it is some places but it’s still cold! Low at my house was 20. It’s 28 now.

I did all of my exercises except for the NT and HR. Breakfast was OJ and a four banana/spinach smoothie. I had to take the smoothie with me again. I have one mango I wanted to put in it but I didn’t have time. I’ve found a way to get around the strings. I peel the mango then slice through to the seed across the strings. I slice very close together–like 1/8 inch. Then I cut it off the seed. When I blend it, the strings are so short that the don’t clump around the blades. It’s not that it slows them down. If I don’t do it that way, I get wads of strings in my smoothie unless I blend it for longer than I should.

My snack was three Clementines. Lunch was a four banana/pear/green curly leaf lettuce smoothie and a huge fuyu.

When I got home, I grabbed a coconut out of the fridge and I had my second fatality of all the coconut I’ve had. It was dark pink inside and the water was pink. I had to toss it and that hurt. I got another one and it was good. I had a couple bites of kim chee

Earlier today, I was thinking some salsa would be nice. Then I thought I should have a salad, too. It occurred to me that the salsa has everything in it I’d put in the salad except for lettuce. So…I made the salsa and put lettuce in it! It was a huge amount of food to eat but I managed all of it. It had four tomatoes, a large chunk of red onion, garlic, red sweet pepper, cilantro, parsley, crushed red pepper, cucumber, avocado, and the lettuce (green curly leaf). It was good! And I didn’t put a single grain of salt on it. I’m so proud of me!

I really do need to get to bed on time tonight and I’ll be able to make it if I wind this up.

BTW, one of my forum friends went to hear Dr. D. last night. I am so jealous! She said Roger was there, too. She said that Dr. D. is “a pretty amazing presenter.” I’ve heard him on the Perfect Health Program and on a teleseminar but I’d love to see/hear him in person!

And now, I’d better do as I said and go to bed.

I don’t know if you have a Sam’s Club there, but I’ve been getting some great deals on veggies. Newman’s Own organic baby spinach…1 and 1/2 lbs for $3.88. Newman’s Own organic spring mix…1 lb for $3.88. Nature Sweet cherry tomatoes….1 lb and 12. oz. for about the same price. Now I live in a large city, Houston, so it might not be the same everywhere else. Also, if you have a Jasan’s Deli there, they use organic baby salad greens on their salad bar for when you want to eat out.

We have a Sam’s Club but I let my membership go when they wanted lotsa dough for me to have an extra card for another member of my family. Problem was, it was a hike that I couldn’t get out of and the family member had to live in my home. I told the woman my cat wasn’t interested and I wasn’t going to pay considerably more for a card I would have no use for. And then I canceled. I’ve saved a great deal of money by not having one. The price for spinach sounds good. I’d have to pay the upcharge because I won’t buy the membership. That would make the same spinach over $4. I don’t care for spring mix. I like the less strong greens. I buy tomatoes by the 25 pound box. They aren’t organic, though. Are the Nature’s Sweet?

There’s a Jason’s Deli about 60 miles away, give or take a few. Is it that good? I looked up their web site and couldn’t bring up a menu.

The Nature’s Sweet aren’t organic, but are always good, the best tomatoes I’ve ever had. Taste like candy they’re so sweet. If you’re ever in a situation where you have to or want to eat out….I alway’s choose Jason’s deli because of the salad bar…lots of fresh veggies and organic greens. I’m not 100% raw in that I allow myself bottled salad dressings when I eat out, so you might want to bring your own dressing.
