If you look to the right of this page, you will find a new title under “Site Info”–Rogue’s Gallery. I have put all of my pictures there that show the transition from Fat to more or less Fit.
I made it to bed before the 10 o’clock curfew last night and slept in until about 7:15. I lay in bed for a few minutes longer than that.
It was COLD when I got up. The low this morning was 22.6 at 7:29. It’s 38 now.
This was the no exercise day. Breakfast was OJ and a four banana/mango/red leaf lettuce smoothie. And speaking of mango, I have a warning for everyone out there who is reading this blog. DO NOT buy any of the fruit that looks like this:
I have had one after another this winter that look perfectly all right but they are so stringy that they are hardly usable and they don’t have a lot of flavor. They’re also kind of watery. Evidently, there are a lot of people on the forums who are getting them, too. Members posted questions about them on Roger’s forum and one of Frederic’s forums and talked about how awful they are. I love a good mango but a bad one can be terrible.
Church was excellent, as usual. Lots of interaction and thought-provoking discussion. One of my favorite people has been able to find a job close to home so he can be with his family. That’s a real answer to prayer. His expression was totally different today than it has been. He looked relaxed and happy. And his wife and kids were happy, too.
It was coconut time when I got home. This one was just about perfect. It wasn’t so young it had hardly any meat but it wasn’t so mature it was hard to get out. And it tasted so good!
I had a couple bites of kim chi and a very little bit of kim chee. Then I had three Clementines. I wanted some tomatoes so I had three with lime juice and some very mild chili powder from the Asian market . After that, I had a small potato.
I’d gotten some red chard from the organic grocery and I didn’t want it to go the way of several things I’ve bought and forgotten about. I blended some of it up with three bananas. It was okay but not delicious. To finish up (I thought) I had some persimmon pudding and a Pecan Pie Larabar. I left the peeling on the persimmons and I think it would have been better without it. I didn’t like this Larabar as much as the Ginger Snap, either. Much later, I had some more kim chi/chee and a Clementine. Too much grazing and too much variety. I’ll live but I would have probably done better with more simple fare.
My friend called from the nursing home and she seemed to be having a good day. We talked for well over a half hour and she can usually just make it for less than half that long. I didn’t go see her because she told me last night that it’s easier to get off a phone call than out of a visit. I took that as a very broad hint.
I’ve spent a lot of time on the latest page. The clock just struck 10 and I still have some Things to Do before I go to bed. Good night!
