There were far fewer pictures to update in July.

I’d gotten to bed sorta late last night so, when I went to the bathroom a little after 5, I went back to sleep for “half an hour”. I woke up over an hour later with no time to exercise.

Breakfast was an OJ/peach/spinach smoothie that I took to work, plus I’d taken out some OJ and peach mixture before I put the spinach in. I thought I’d used up my oranges but I discovered three I’d failed to juice. I didn’t starve, obviously.

Mid-morning, I had three kiwifruit and three Clementines. That’s then end of the crate from Wally World. I have another one from the supermarket so I’m not out.

It was whizzin’ cold and there was a little wind blowing. I was a wuss and didn’t brave it.

Lunch was a three banana/huge pear/red curly leaf lettuce smoothie. One of the Lunch Bunch said she had soup that looked like something the dog threw up. Someone said my smoothie looked like what a calf with the scours leaves behind. It was good, it was nourishing, and it didn’t make me not want to drink it. When I was a kid, we would try to out-gross each other so it would take a lot to turn off my appetite. Plus, they are catching on. The Lunch Bunch, that is. One of them said the conversation would be on my blog and here you go!

I was able to order 21 pounds of persimmons today. They are of the fuyu variety. I want to get some of the astringent type, too. Woohoo!

On my way home, I stopped by the church and made sure the heat was turned up. The bulletin secretary had sent me the hymn numbers so I ran through them. They are old familiar ones so I really didn’t need to practice but I did, anyway.

When I got to the top of the mountain, I went to the fruit stand that I frequent in cold weather. I got a box of nice Florida navel oranges and a box of tomatoes. They have some beautiful flowering kale and she would have sold me a pot full but I don’t think I need it. I told her I’d just eat it and she was surprised that it was edible. I don’t care for raw kale, though.

I got unloaded and ate a couple of Camparis. Then I had a couple bites of kim chi. I hadn’t had many calories today so I had two good-sized bananas.

Supper was

Spinach Soup (my own creation)
Three large tomatoes, peeled
A handful each cilantro and parsley
A couple big handfuls spinach
Juice of a large lime
Clove garlic (optional)
Two small or one medium cucumber, peeled and diced
Lots of grape tomatoes

Put the tomatoes, cilantro, parsley, spinach, lime juice, and garlic (if desired) in the blender container. Blend until smooth. Pour over cucumber and grape tomatoes in a bowl and enjoy.

It was extra good! After that, I had a kim chee carrot and a kim chee piece of napa cabbage. I controlled myself and didn’t sample too much. I’ve been chastised at work for, seemingly, eating it all before it’s ready to share. I was still hungry so I had some OJ.

There are some dogs behind the house barking at something. No telling what. I just hope it isn’t a skunk. I’ve seen several flattened on the roads lately.

It isn’t 9 yet and I’m through blogging! What about me! Good night and Happy Sabbath!
