Monday, Monday! Sounds like a song to me…

I’ve been spending a whole bunch of time on my first page that doesn’t have anything to do with me, personally, except how I ready a coconut for consumption. You can find it by looking under the heading to the right, “Site Info” and click on “How to kill a coconut.” I decided to do it that way to keep the pictures off my blog because there are a lot of them. It’s step-by-step. And I’m up late because of it but it’s done!

I’m not going to go into all the doings of the day because I really need to get to bed.

I did all of my exercises except for the NT and HR. Breakfast was a banana/blueberry/romaine smoothie. The wife of one of the residents went with me on my morning walk. I think she needed to talk so I slowed down a little and listened. We did three laps. Lunch was Fred’s Mom’s Salad and I dipped into the kim chee and “slaw” with the others. They liked both. I did another three laps and listened to PHP. I stopped and got bananas, watermelon, and tomatoes. Came home and ate watermelon, young coconut, salsa, kim chee, and finished off the “slaw”. With that, I’m going to bed! Good night!

I don’t know if this will work with young coconuts, but we used to use an ice pick and hammer. Poke a hole through both ‘eyes’ and insert a straw through one of them and sip away. Might be slightly safer. 🙂

Nope. Young coconut is a different ball of wax. Have you looked at “How to kill a young coconut” in the Site Info? That’s even safer than the ice pick and hammer. My hands get nowhere near the cleaver blade or hammerhead, plus the coconut is flat on the bottom so it doesn’t shift. My mother used the ice pick and hammer method (we’d never had a young coconut) so I’m familiar with it.
