After getting to bed so late last night, I was surprised that I woke early enough to get in all of my exercises except for the NT & HR.

Here I am again, up late, but the bulletin is done and hanging on the doorknob so I won’t forget to grab it on my way out in the morning.

Breakfast was a banana/mango/romaine smoothie. I didn’t have time to walk because, once again, the office wasn’t fully staffed. This time, it was a seriously ill grandchild.

Lunch (when I finally got to eat it) was a banana/pear/spinach smoothie.

Things kind of settled down this afternoon and I did four laps around the buildings while I listened to Tonya Kay talk about her car that she runs on waste cooking oil from fast food joints, how she manages to eat raw on the road, and her pedal-powered blender. She said she has a forum (The Lonely Garden) that has a lot of information on those things and lots more. I haven’t had time to check it out. It should be interesting if it’s anything like its creator. She’s also into vermiculture, something I’d like to start, myself. She’s named all of her worms “Bruce” because she had a hard time telling them apart. I’ll get some more listening time in tomorrow, I hope.

On the way home, I stopped at all of the food places that were open. There were two in town that had closed by the time I got there. Tomatoes have jumped in price. I got the most reasonable box I could find. It has a lot of green ones so maybe it will last awhile.

I had a big bowl of watermelon after I got in and changed into my grubbies. I put on a sweatshirt (I still have it on) since the temperature has taken a nosedive. It’s down to 56 right now.

Well, I finally managed to make more salsa than I could eat! I’d put a whole avocado in it (a small one) and I picked out all the pieces and ate it after I’d eaten probably a quart of salsa. I hated to throw any of it away but I’d been eating out of it and enzymes from saliva can make food spoil quickly. I cringe when I see a mother feed a baby out of a jar of baby food and cap the part the baby doesn’t eat to feed it later. I doubt she would do that if she tried it herself.

It’s past my bedtime but I seem to be making a habit of that. I’m still going to put it up to 10 come Sunday.

I hope everyone has a good night’s sleep! I plan to.
