Not long to write about today but there isn’t much to report, anyway. I measured and am down by something like a quarter of an inch. Since my salt binge, my weight was up a pound but I’m sure that’s fluid.
Did all of my exercises. Breakfast was a banana/mango/red leaf lettuce/romaine smoothie.
I sunned for 1/2 hour and listened to some music for awhile since I hadn’t transferred my files but quit and let my entertainment be the critters.
Came in and had some watermelonade.
My daughter called and we talked for 1.5 hours. I sunned for 30 minutes of that.
Lunch was zucchini spaghetti and Magic Tomato Sauce. Then I had some “chili” with Tajin followed by an ear of sweet corn. I topped everything off with a large salad of red leaf lettuce, cucumber, and tomato dressed with lime juice, olive oil, agave, sea salt, garlic and onion powders. So…you can see that I was most intemperate. I made some “hummus” by Frederic’s recipe but I figured it needed some time to blend the flavors so I only tasted it and didn’t actually eat any of it.
Special Hummus
2 cups peeled zucchini, chopped
1 Tbs. olive oil
1 and 1/2 lemon, juice of
3/4 cup sesame seeds (hulled)
3/4 tsp. sea salt
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp. paprika
Blend all of the ingredients in your Vita-Mix or food processor. Be sure that you use hulled sesame seeds, which are white. If you use a food processor, you should grind the seeds beforehand in a coffee grinder. Serve with vegetables.
I never developed much of a taste for hummus but I figured it would be something different. I think it’s the sesame seeds that give it a “whang” I don’t care for.
So now, I am going to bed.
I’d have to agree with the sesame seeds…
They have a taste that can be a little odd. It’s just not my favorite seed flavor.
I’ve been tempted to make some flax seed hummus. Would that be too weird?

If you try it with the flax seed and it works, let me know! I’d think it might be a little “gluey” but maybe not. I think you’d probably have to run the seeds through a grinder first because they are slippery little fellers.
