My sister just sent me an e-mail saying that when she tried to pull up my blog tonight to see if I’d updated yet, the site she gets it on isn’t there any more. I don’t understand but I sent her the link. If there’s anyone who can’t get this, tell me. 🙂 Kind of like “If you don’t get this letter, write and let me know.”
Well, folks, I was plumb lazy this morning and didn’t get up until 8:45. I had awakened at my usual time and I went back to bed because I wasn’t the organist today and I could. I had no intention of sleeping that long but I guess my body needed it. That’s the way it worked out, anyway.
Due to my getting up late, I didn’t have time to fix and eat the huge fruit salad that was on the menu. I switched the smoothie that was for lunch with breakfast. It was bananas/peaches/celery/spinach. Good with staying power.
Another result of my getting up late was that I didn’t make it to Sabbath School. I did get in on most of the song service between Sabbath School and church. One of the ladies had the church service and it was very good. She spoke on hands and the power of touch.
I came home and had my huge fruit salad. It was probably two quarts. Pineapple, peach, strawberries, kiwi, and OJ. Very very very good and refreshing.
After I got through with the salad, I went out and lay in the sun for half an hour. I’ve noticed that the critters don’t bother me a lot. I hope that holds when I go to pick blueberries next month–and that isn’t far away! I usually get eaten up by the mosquitoes and I hate to bathe in Off!
Coming back in, I proceeded to make the Fennel Delight that was to finish off Day 21 of the BES. I knew I’d never get it done if I waited until after the gazpacho to do it. When it was finished, I covered it to let the flavors blend and made the gaz. I don’t know what I did this time that I didn’t do the other time or maybe it was the other way around. Anyway, it was good but not as good as it was before.
After the gazpacho had time to settle, I started in on the Fennel Delight. Now, when the day started, I was determined to eat everything that was on the menu for today. And I did try. The salad was good but not great. Maybe if I’d been truly hungry…I don’t know. I finally blended it with a tomato and only ended up sacrificing a perfectly good tomato. I ate a few bites and the rest went into the compost bucket. I’ve had very few recipes on this program that I didn’t care for. This is probably the second in three weeks that I haven’t be too crazy for so that’s a pretty good percentage. Today’s problem may have been that it was just too much food. And I thought I eat a lot, normally!
I’m ready to go to bed after I check the forums one more time. That’s Roger’s, the Body Enlightenment Nook, and mine.
