I’ve gotten some of the things done that I wanted to but not everything.
The old work schedule had me awake early but I showed it! I went back to bed and to sleep and got up about 7:30. I did all my exercises and had OJ and a smoothie of bananas, blueberries, and romaine. For my mid-morning snack, I had a whole large mango–at least what was good. I’m a little disappointed in this crop. They aren’t ripening very well.
I went outside for half an hour. The temperature was the best it’s been for a long time. If I’d been on a more comfortable lounge, I would probably have gone to sleep.
Lunch was a banana/pear/spinach smoothie, half a large cucumber, and tomatoes with Tajin. The tomatoes are disappointing, too. They aren’t ripening very well, either. They have big chunks of white in them. I’ll have to be more careful when I’m buying them.
I worked on a project on the computer and got quite a bit accomplished, considering I’m on dialup. I keep wishing for DSL to become available here but it looks like it won’t happen in my lifetime.
The weather decided to blow up a storm so I set the timer for an hour and lay down for a nap because I could. I wasn’t tired but I figured that this week is when I’m going to be able to get some extra rest. When I woke up 45 minutes later, I looked out and it was still storming. Since I’d failed to start the timer, it still said 60 minutes. I went back to sleep and it was some of the soundest sleep I’ve had for awhile. I felt kind of groggy for a long time after I got up.
I had a big piece of watermelon, then some “chili”. The tomatoes are better blended. The grand finale was a large salad of romaine, cucumber, and cashew dressing.
I’ve been working on the house since and blended up two containers of garbage to put on the compost pile.
Even though I took a nap this afternoon, I hope to get to bed reasonably early and do some reading in The China Study.
I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day!
