I read a little after I went to bed last night. If I could read longer than 10-15 minutes at a time, I’d be able to finish all sorts of books but I don’t carve more than that out of the day except for my devotions in the morning. All my other reading is the “have to” type. And there’s plenty of that.

Today was vision therapy day. My left eye is still not as strong as I’d like it to be. Maybe one of these days…I keep forgetting to put blueberries in my morning smoothie. I don’t have many left. I need to get a small freezer and fill it up this summer. I wanted to freeze strawberries, too, but they are so expensive that I think I’ll just eat them fresh and not spend my money on a lot.

Breakfast was OJ and a banana/romaine smoothie. For my mid-morning break, I had two kiwi.

I didn’t get outside for any length of time today because it was overcast, rainy part of the time, and cool. The sun came out for a few minutes but it wasn’t long enough to burn the clouds off.

My irritated throat was okay this morning. I don’t know what made it feel so scratchy unless it was the smoke that was lingering around most of the day. There’s a vent over my desk that connects with the break room. Any time someone nukes something in the microwave or toasts in the toaster, I smell it. Sometimes it can be pretty disgusting. Like when the dish has salmon or tuna in it. Smells horrible!

I had a banana/spinach smoothie, cucumber, and tomatoes with Tajin for lunch.

When I got home, I had half a cantaloupe, a big slice of watermelon, tomatoes with Tajin (again), and a large salad with cashew dressing.

For some reason, I had it in my head that my neighbor was graduating this weekend. Turns out it was last weekend and I missed it. I wrote her a check for what it would have cost me to go (it was 50-some miles away, one way). She didn’t want to take it but I can depend on her and her husband to help me out whenever I need it. I have some very good neighbors. And I try to be a good neighbor, too.

I don’t know if my sense of smell is getting keener or not. My mother had a nose that wouldn’t quit. She could sniff out all sorts of noxious fumes. I hope I’m not getting to be the same way. I may stink but some of the people at work really smell bad. It’s not that they have unusual body odor. Well, some do but it’s mostly their breath. Stale coffee, cigarettes, you name it and they smell like it. If people only knew…and I may be one of them except I don’t “do” coffee and cigarettes.

On that cheerful note, I think I will “fly up”.

Hey, Tommie! I enjoy reading your blog. You need to change your profile, because *I* think you’re interesting! 🙂

Keep up the great work. Give Twinkle a nice chin scratch from me. LOL!

I’m glad you have your picture where I can see your smiling face! It’s amazing how good raw foodists look. I’ve seen that on Roger’s forum. Everyone on there looks healthy and happy.

As for my profile, I really don’t know what I would do to change it. Maybe, “I get in trouble daily on Yahoo’s rawfood group”???

Twinkle is laying in wait for her raw turkey. Guess I’d better go see if it’s thawed.

    Have an awesome rawsome day!
