It’s getting on toward my bedtime. I’ve taken a bath and cut my toenails (aren’t you glad I shared that?) so I’m all ready to fly up as soon as I get through here.
Last night, I had a terrible time getting to sleep. I finally turned the light on and read for awhile in Victoria Boutenko’s Green for Life from the Green for Life Program. I came across some information that reminded me of one of my Forum Friends so I had to get online and tell her about it. When I finally wound down enough, I went to bed at 2 a.m. After all that, I had to take a melatonin to get to sleep. Needless to say, I didn’t get up in time to exercise.
Breakfast was OJ and a banana/pear/spinach smoothie. It was the rest of my spinach and there wasn’t any to be had in town. Tomorrow will be spinach-less.
The day was overcast and ugly so I stayed inside to eat my orange. Lunch was a banana and pear smoothie, some red grapes, and three Campari tomatoes.
I was walking in the corridor and one of the lab guys commented that I’m getting skinny. I told him yes, and it was wonderful, and then I went on my way. One of the housekeepers was telling me that she is trying to keep her children on a good diet so they will lose weight. Her daughter is 12 and weighs 227 pounds. She said, “I’ve heard people tell you that you look sick because you are losing weight but don’t listen to them. You look GOOD!” That made me feel good!
I stopped on the way home and got a box of tomatoes. I’m going to see my son and his family tomorrow so I’ll probably take some to share with him. My DIL and granddaughter wouldn’t touch a fresh tomato with a ten foot pole. They don’t know what they’re missing!
When I got to the house, I fixed a bowl of tomatoes with chili powder. I was going to make some “burgers” but I’m about wiped out from my little sleep. Then I made some corn chowder. It was too heavy. I topped that off with a smaller than usual salad and I felt stuffed and miserable. When I feel that way, there’s one place I retreat to and that is the aforementioned bath. I feel better now but I don’t want corn chowder again any time soon.
Better get to bed!
