I slept in for a little while. It was my day off as far as exercising is concerned.

Breakfast was OJ (a small glass) and a banana/blueberry/spinach smoothie. I didn’t take anything snack-wise with me because I had to play the organ.

When I got home, I had another banana/blueberry/spinach smoothie. Later, I had an orange strawberry smoothie.

It was delicious! I’ll have another one tomorrow but that will be it because it will be the last of the strawberries.

Mexican Walnut Spread

Then I mixed up some Mexican Walnut Spread. The flash washed out the picture some. It’s actually a little darker than that. All that’s in it is walnuts, a little onion, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, sea salt, and water. I had it all ready to eat and when I tasted it, it was too well seasoned so I put in some more walnuts and water and whizzed it up again.

The following pictures are the preparation and plating of the dish.

It was delicious! I think I overdid it on the nuts, though. I need to remember not to eat too many of them.

Later on, I had half a cucumber and that was it for my food today.

Twinkle has been balky today. I gave her some ground beef which she hasn’t had for awhile. She ate a few bites and wouldn’t eat any more. I finally mixed a chicken turkey medallion with it and she still wouldn’t have anything to do with it. I gave in and mixed in a generous teaspoon of canned cat food and that time she ate it. If you would like to see pictures of Twinkle, click here to see her online album. If you don’t already have an account, you’ll need to sign up but it’s free.

It’s later than I intended to be up so I’d better get to bed. Good night!

Thanks for your pictures of the recipe you made. I’m new to raw foods and have wondered about using my blender for nuts. It looks as if your blender did a good job!

Actually, that isn’t my blender. It’s the food processor. I’ve found it works much better for spreads. The blender is good for dips.

I checked out your blog and it’s very interesting. Do you have an account on fitday? It’s a really neat tool for raw foodists.
