I have Windows 2000. I have been holding off updating for a while.

I have XP and I like it better than any of the previous operating systems. It’s usually more stable. I think the problem was a virus. I have Norton SystemWorks and when I opened the program to try to analyze the problem, my virus checker was turned off. I have no idea how that happened because I am the only person who uses this computer as a general rule. My granddaughter was on it briefly over Christmas but that was it and she wouldn’t have done anything in Norton. Anyway, all I could do was look at it. I couldn’t turn it back on. I’m getting things back slowly but surely. I install things as I need them.
