It’s futile but I keep thinking, “Tonight will be the night that I get to bed at a reasonable hour.” And then I don’t.

I did all my exercises this morning except for my eyes.

Breakfast was OJ, a mango, and a banana/blueberry/spinach smoothie. The smoothie was surprisingly good. I wasn’t sure about it when I threw it together but it was very nice.

Break was five medjools and a white sapote. Lunch was wet pack barhi and honey dates and bananas.

When I got home, I had some grapefruit juice.

It hit me earlier today that I hadn’t talked to my daughter on Christmas. There was no way to go back and do it but it wasn’t going to get any sooner, either, so I called her. We had a nice conversation, though short. I had to eat so we couldn’t talk long. It was good to hear her voice–and his. Turns out he got his hair cut today after letting it grow for quite some time. She sent me before and after pictures and he looks handsome.

After the phone call, I had my bowl of tomatoes. Then I had “pasta” and cashew “cheese”. I think I overdid it on the latter. I’ll live, I’m sure, but I should have had some salad first and not eaten so much of the other.

This morning, I gave my cat some chicken breast. She finished it shortly after I got home. Just a few minutes ago, I thawed a chicken/turkey medallion and mixed the whole thing with a can of cat food. At one time, she would have turned her nose up at it but she’s been eating it like she enjoys it.

If I hurry, I’ll get to bed sooner than usual!

I’m going to have to try that combination. I never thought about adding the spinach. I make smoothies for my daughter on a daily basis. Occasionally I freeze it into pops. She loves that also.

I love medjool dates although I don’t eat them too often. Whenever I want something sweet I reach for thoses.
I never had the sapote I will have to try it.

I forget to give my parents a call now and again. My dad will always call me.

Haircuts can make you look fabulous!

My cat Veba was a finicky eater. I had to gradually introduce her to other flavors.

The members of the forum I help moderate are going on a 31 day green smoothie challenge January 1. It’s a great way to get your greens. It tastes a lot better than it sounds.
