Isn’t that amazing! It doesn’t seem that long when I was feasting on cooked food and loving it but now it’s about as tempting as a pork chop would be. I can look at it and smell it but I don’t want it.
Before (073005) and During (Today)
A Little Over One Month Raw
I’ve been getting ready to go to my son’s place and it takes longer than if I had a couple of kids to pack for. That’s the only thing I don’t love about this lifestyle. I have to be sure to take enough food to do me while I’m gone. My DIL is a good cook but that’s it–she’s a good COOK. She isn’t interested in eating very much raw. She’ll put carrot sticks and celery out but I can’t live on that. Even a salad doesn’t go very far. I’m not criticizing. Just stating fact. I was right where she is a year ago. Though I have always loved fruit and had my banana a day faithfully.
Church was a long way off today. The baptism last night put me behind but I’m glad I didn’t miss it. The brother of one of the girls came up to me and told me thank you for coming to see his sister baptized. He’s maybe eight or nine years old. I need to be leaving for my son’s right now but I still have to shower, dress, and load the car. I’m sure that they will understand if I’m a little late.
Breakfast was OJ, a fuyu, and a sapote. I was making Raw Mock Turkey Loaf, Matt’s dip, and Cashew “Cheese” (my own concoction), plus assembling a salad and using my spiral slicer for the first time. It’s neat! I have Pesto Stuffed Mushrooms in the dehydrator. I was sampling here and there and am just now getting around to a banana/spinach smoothie.
I’d better hurry so I can get to my son’s before dark.
