I got up pretty much on time but I was in no mood to exercise so I just kind of puttered around and got ready for work. Of course, I had my devotions and did my vision therapy. I was sleepy, not dead.

Yesterday was par for the course. I had most of the same stuff I usually eat every day. I can’t think of anything that I did any different except I’d mixed up some Mock Salmon Pate to take and share with the others. One of the lunch crew took a job at a bank 20 miles away so we lost the pillar of the group. She’s the one that got everyone together and would plan what they would bring. We are down to three of us now, from twice that many. We ate our lunch out at the picnic table and it was really nice. The weather was pleasant–sunny but not hot.

After work I headed down the mountain. I visited Mother’s grave and the cemetery had been mowed. It looked nice but when I could see the stone, someone had gotten too close to it with a weed-eater and tore the temporary laminated sheet that had her name and picture on it. I picked up the pieces. We are going to order a permanent marker soon so I won’t try to repair it at this point.

I went to Goody’s and got a pair of size 12 Levis that were on sale. I also bought a pretty jacket type top. It’s a medium and I can’t quite button it but I wore it open over a shell today. The jeans are a little on the small side yet but I figure I’ll need them one of these days.

It was time for a haircut so I went on to Wal*Mart. I got my groceries and some other things and headed for the beauty shop. Business was slow and we were the only two there. I’ve known the girl who cuts my hair for, probably, 15 years. We talked and laughed and had a good time. After I was shorn, she walked me out to the car and help me load my purchases. She’s interested in what I eat and wanted to see what I’d bought. I showed her my lettuces. She didn’t know what the avocados were but she’d had mangos on her honeymoon and loved them.

It was late when I got home. Actually, it was after dark but I went ahead and ate my tomatoes. I had a smoothie after that and tackled the computer. So far, so good, but it was a nightmare last night. It wouldn’t accept my authentication and I spent a long time on hold for Microsoft and finally got through to a woman with a heavy accent. As you can tell, I’m back up and running now.

Today started out with “oatmeal”, a nectarine, and a kiwi. I was feeling a little hollow mid-morning so I ate a couple of dates. My break was spent in my office where I ate my watermelon. This one is better than the other one and won’t last much past tomorrow, if any.

Lunch was a huge salad of Boston, romaine, parsley, onion, tomato, dressed with lime juice. When I was getting my lunch out of the fridge in the break room, one of the nurses said, “You are wasting away!” Not quite, but nice to hear.

I swung by the local supermarket where they have bananas for three lubs for a dawler. I didn’t get any because they are getting to the marking down stage.

It was tomato time when I got to the house. I had a mango later. It was very turpentine-ish. Then I had a banana/pear/blueberry/date smoothie.

Calories yesterday were 1564 with 10% fat and 6% protein. Today, it was 1574 with 9% fat and 7% protein.

I’m going to bed. I’m very sleeeeeeeeeeepy.
