Today has been a long day. My office was short-staffed so I had to step in and let my own work go. I’ll have that much more to do tomorrow.

I got up shortly after the alarm went off and did my vision therapy. I had time to BF, squat, pushup, press, crunch, and whatever else I did.

Breakfast was a banana/orange juice smoothie and some dates. I didn’t have time to fix watermelon so I chucked the rest of the honeydew into a bag to take for my break.

Lunch was a huge salad of Boston, romaine, tomato, avocado, salsa, and lime juice.

When I got home, I had a big bowl of tomatoes and then some applesauce. I also had a banana/orange juice smoothie and a peach.

There still seem to be people who are laboring under the notion that it takes will power and hard work to eat this way. Nothing could be further from the truth. I love fruit. I love salad. I can wallow in both and not feel guilty. I have never eaten as much food as I do now and I lose weight.

I stopped on the way home and got some more tomatoes. The owner of the stand came out for the first time in days (he had surgery recently). He went straight to the cooler and brought out a red bell pepper and a bag of okra and gave them to me. I bought a couple of bags of tomatoes but he wouldn’t let me pay for the other. He said he’d been saving them for me. He’s having to walk with a cane but he’s doing well. His wife had the same surgery (hip replacement) and just got home yesterday. It’s people like that who make the world a better place.

Calories were just over 1600, fat was 11%, protein 6%.

It’s getting on toward my bedtime. G’night!
