15 weeks today. Woohoo!


I don’t know how I managed it. I got up at 5:18 and was still 10 minutes late getting to work. I did all of my routine stuff and cut out some things that weren’t absolutely necessary but it didn’t do any good. The policy says that we can be as late as seven minutes and not be tardy. Since I don’t clock in, I confessed to my boss. She laughed and said that she’d have to string me up. I told her the dog ate my homework.

Breakfast was eaten while I fixed my watermelon for break and salad for lunch. I had a banana/orange juice smoothie and a peach. The peach was one of the best I’ve had this year.

I already let the cat out of the bag about my break. I must say that the watermelon was a disappointment. It was one of the light pink ones and I ate it for the calories and whatever else I might get out of it and not for the pleasure. The salad was romaine, Boston, onion, okra, and tomato, dressed with lime juice.

I hit the local produce sections and got some more limes, lemons, onions, avocados, and pears. I stopped at the little fruit stand not far from here and got enough tomatoes to do me a couple of days. The owner wasn’t there but he leaves the cash box out and trusts people to be honest. I put in my money and got my change and left.

When I got home, I had a bowl full of tomatoes. I microwaved some water in a large measuring cup until it boiled and then dropped the tomatoes in it for a few seconds each, one by one. The skins slip off easily that way.

Supper started with applesauce. I left out the lemon juice and put in a little bit of water instead. I don’t know that I liked it any better. Wal*Mart has good organic kiwi and I’d gotten some the other day so I had one of them. It was the best kiwi I’ve had in years. The pears appeared to be mostly ripe but that was deceiving. I cut into one and it was still crunchy. I ate half and put the other half into a sandwich bag and hope it ripens up even though it isn’t intact. I finished my meal off with a medjool date. I’m going to have to be careful with them. What I have will have to last me another week or more until my order comes in. I had debated about getting two packages but thought that my order from the Flying Disc Ranch would be waiting for me when I got to work. It wasn’t and I haven’t heard anything about it.

My calorie count is 1315 with 7% fat and 8% protein.

I’ve lost another three lubs since just before we went on vacation. That makes a total of 37.5. What makes me sad is that my mother would have loved to have seen me getting slim again. The little marker is still in “Moderate Overweight” but it keeps getting closer and closer to the “Healthy Weight” line.
