I had more stress than usual today. I’m having to do annual competencies on everyone in my department including me–except for my newest hire. I would as soon go to the dentist and might even prefer it. I finally decided that I would put in my planner that I’m to do one a day and since my self evaluation is due Monday, I did it first. The rest are due by the 19th and since I’m going to be off that day, I’ll have to finish up by the 18th.
I BodyFlexed and did 30 squats this morning. No time for pushups. I did 10 squats every time I went to the bathroom, too. That was AFTER I finished up with my reason for being there.
Breakfast was a plum and a pluot and a smoothie of bananas, a pear, and blueberries. For lunch, I had almonds and another smoothie of bananas, a pear, half a mango, and papaya. I finished it outside in the sun.
My coach, Roger, has chastised me for not eating more greens so I went to town and invested in lettuces of all kinds, parsley, and spinach. I got lots of fruit, a watermelon, and a cantaloupe, too. Also got a paradise melon. I have no idea what it’s like but I’ll find out!
For supper, I crammed as much lettuce, romaine, spinach, arugula, parsley, and boston lettuce as I could get in my ancient VitaMix, then chunked up some celery on top and pulverized it. I used my Pampered Chef chopper to chop a tomato, a small cucumber, and mixed that with the green soup along with corn that I’d cut off the cob. It actually wasn’t too bad. It took me 45 minutes to eat it but I got it all down.
I barely made it past 1,000 calories (RH says I shouldn’t be concerned with calories as long as my fat consumption isn’t too much) but I want to get enough to eat. I want to be successful at this and part of it is not being undernourished.
I’m not tired but I’m sleepy. As late as it is, it’s about time.
