I didn’t eat supper last night. My lunch “stayed with me” to the point that I wasn’t hungry at a reasonable hour so I decided I’d go to bed without anything else. I got a little headachey around 9 so I warmed up some water and put a few squirts of agave nectar in it. That seemed to do the trick and I slept well.
Breakfast this morning was a smoothie of bananas, half a pear, and a couple of slices of pineapple. I had a handful of cherries and some sunflower seeds.
Lunch was a large salad dressed with lime juice and a sprinkle of sea salt. I had a few almonds left in a baggie in my lunch tote. I finished them off. I’d taken the rest of the okra and Nancy had one pod. She didn’t not like it but she wasn’t bowled over by it, either. I ate the rest. I shared my cantaloupe with her and two others who were in the break room. When I got through, I was full.
I got some comments today that were interesting. One of the women in my area said she had told her husband about my “new” way of eating and he said it was probably better than what they are doing. Then the woman who was interested in trying it the other day said that she had been looking at the links I’d sent her and she seems to be getting closer. I was questioned about why I’m doing this and I said it’s because I want to feel good. The statement that made my day was, “You are losing weight.” It wasn’t a question. It was a declaration. Woo-hoo!
When I got home, I pulled the La Glaciere out of the cabinet and made space in the freezer for the container by loading up all the ice cream, mac and cheese, and tortellini, and taking it to the neighbors. When my neighbor asked why, I told her that I wasn’t using dairy any more. Again, she asked why and I said it was because I felt better when I don’t. I got my last four eggs out of the fridge (they weren’t out of date yet) and an unopened package of neufchatel cheese. I just remembered some parmesan that I didn’t include. I can do that later. Anyway, I’m going to try making banana “ice cream” in the La Glaciere but I’ll have to wait until the container freezes so it will be tomorrow afternoon when I get home. I’ll post the results.
Supper was a banana, a kiwi, half a mango, half a pear, and a couple of slices of pineapple. I’m done!
