Breakfast was eaten on the run. I had a banana about the size of a baseball bat, the last Bosc pear, 1/3 avocado, a tablespoonful of soaked sunflower seeds, and some Queen Anne cherries. Lunch was salad (lettuce mix, kale, parsley, asparagus, avocado, green onion, tomato, sea salt, lime juice), cantaloupe, watermelon, and soaked almonds. My friend, Nancy, tried the almonds and liked them. She is the most adventurous one there.
Since I got to bed late last night, I haven’t been too perky today. I need my sleep. I’m going to go to bed early tonight, I promise.
Supper was corn chowder (1/4 cup raw cashews and one green onion whizzed up with 1 cup water, one cob of corn, tipped and scraped, sea salt to taste) that was pretty tasty. I won’t be eating such again any time soon and since the other two cobs would go to waste, I took them to my neighbor. I also had a large banana, one and a half nectarines, and some grapefruit “juice”. There is a lot of fat in 1/4 cup cashews. I know that I’m not supposed to be concerned with that but I also know that nuts and seeds should be eaten sparingly and this is the third meal today that has included them.
It’s time to think about bed!
